For those who want the challenge of a long distance run, but would rather not tackle the 26.2-mile marathon, a half-marathon may be the perfect race. The St. Clare Health Mission Half Marathon will be held on Sunday, May 6, 2012, as part of the Festival Foods La Crosse Fitness Festival.
Time
The Marathon and Half Marathon will start at 7:00AM sharp in Pettibone Park.
The Course
The Half Marathon course will begin just outside of Pettibone Park and cross the Cass Street Bridge, spanning the Mississippi River into downtown La Crosse and then proceeds to tour the perimeter of the south side of the city. The southern leg parallels the Mississippi and the northern leg parallels the scenic river bluffs, passing though residential neighborhoods and business districts. The Half Marathon course ends in Myrick Park, close to the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse.
The St. Clare Health Mission Half Marathon is a USATF-certified course (WI-11007-DM).
